Day 1:

• Introducing Managing Safely: The business case for safety and your role as a manager.
• Assessing Risks: A simple and effective 5-step process for carrying out risk assessments.

Day 2:

• Controlling Risks: How to implement effective control measures using the hierarchy of risk control.
• Understanding Your Responsibilities: A clear breakdown of health and safety law and the framework of a safety management system.

Day 3:

• Identifying Hazards: Recognising common workplace hazards, including mechanical, physical, chemical, environmental, biological, and organisational hazards

To achieve your IOSH Managing Safely® certificate, you must successfully complete two assessments:

1. A 45-minute multiple-choice and short-answer examination to assess your theoretical knowledge 
2. A practical risk assessment project based on your own workplace, to be completed after the course 

Note: While both assessments have a pass mark of 60%, the overall course pass requires meeting both individual assessment requirements.
