ECITB Hydraulically Torque & Tension Bolted Connections MJI 10, 18 & 19

This course provided participants with the knowledge and skills to enable efficient and safe bolting and joint integrity practices.

Candidates who successfully complete the course can move onto Stage 2 which includes Work-Based Activities before returning to complete the Stage 3 Technical Tests TMJI 10, TMJI 11, TMJI 18, TMJI 19, & TMJI 20, 

Course Outline
Day 1

• Health and Safety
• Hydrocarbon Release/Step Change
• Engineering Drawings
• Permits to Work
• Preparing for the Task
• Tools & Equipment.

Day 2

• Bolted Joints 
• Gaskets
• Joint Disassembly/Assembly
• Torque
• Inspection & Records.

Day 3 

• Hydraulic Torqueing & Tensioning
• Assessments.

Additional Information

Candidates should bring appropriate PPE to the course for the practical exercises.
