The Fire Warden Instructor course is a professional 2-day programme designed for safety professionals and trainers. It equips participants with the technical knowledge to deliver comprehensive fire safety training and manage Fire Warden/Marshal responsibilities within the workplace. This certification ensures compliance with the Fire Services Act 1981 and the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, providing graduates with a full suite of instructional materials to deliver in-house training.
This instructor-level programme is mapped to Irish legislative requirements to ensure all training delivered by graduates meets HSA and Fire Authority standards:
- Primary Legislation: Section 18 of the Fire Services Act 1981 (Duty of care to persons on premises).
- Workplace Regulation: Section 11 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 (Emergency plans and first-aid).
