The practical assessment requires the learner to record and upload 2 lifting techniques.

It is recommended that Employers complete a Manual Handling Risk Assessment in order to identify employee training needs for Manual Handling training and where individual practical assessment is required.

1. What is e-Learning and how does it work? 
 
e-Learning is the process of acquiring knowledge through digital resources and technology. It involves the use of electronic devices such as computers, laptops, tablets or Smartphones and the internet. 
 
2. Does this course comply with Irish Legislation, and will it cover me on site?  
 
Yes! Our Manual Handling Training fully complies with the HAS requirements for the delivery of Manual handling through eLearning platforms. You will cover all the theoretical knowledge and principles online and then be required to proceed to the practical element. 
 
3. How does the Practical Element Work? 
 
For the Practical Element you will be required to record a video of yourself lifting a bow using the techniques learnt in the course. 
 
4. How do I upload my video? 
 
You will be able to use the recording tool available in the upload recording section of your practical assignment. Do not forget that you will be required to record a video of yourself lifting a box using the techniques learnt in the course. 
 
5. What happens next? Will my video be shared with anyone else? 
 
Once you have submitted your video our competent manual handling trainer assessor will assess your lifts and grade accordingly. Worry not! No one else besides our competent experts will review your video. 
 
6. At this stage you are probably wondering how long is this going to take? 
 
Rest assured! You have nothing to worry about. This task will only require approximately 50 mins of your time. 
 
7. How do I set up a username and a password? 
 
Once you have completed the purchase of the e-Learning seat from our website. You will receive an email with your username and password. You will be able to access our eLearning Platform by clicking the link on the email or through our website.

  • On the top right corner click on Learner Log in, write your username and password and click on log in.

8. Will I get a certificate and for how long is it valid for? 
 
Upon successful completion of your theory and practical elements you will receive a certificate that will be valid for three years. You will be able to download it immediately from our eLearning platform.
