This course is not suitable for individuals without a prior IOSH construction management qualification.

  • Update your knowledge on the critical pre-construction phase, focusing on reviewing and enhancing key planning documents like risk assessments and method statements in light of any new standards or project complexities.

Day 2

• Construction Phase
  • Management of high-risk activities, with a focus on any recent changes in best practice, technology, or legislation that have emerged since your last certification
• Monitoring and Checking
  • Best practices for both proactive monitoring and reactive monitoring effectively track your site's SHE performance.
• Learning Lessons
  • Go beyond basic incident reporting with an advanced look at incident investigation.

To achieve your IOSH Safety, Health and Environment certificate, you must successfully complete:

A written theory examination.

1.     How often should I take this refresher course?

IOSH recommends that you undertake a refresher course every three years to ensure your knowledge of legislation, guidance, and best practices remains current.

2.     What if my original certificate is more than three years old?

You are still eligible to take this refresher course. As long as you can provide your original IOSH certificate number, you can enrol to update your qualification.

3.     Do I need my original IOSH certificate number to book?

Yes. Proof of prior successful completion of one of the qualifying courses is a mandatory prerequisite for attending this refresher programme.
